Typical racks are shallow and are designed to lean against. This can give rise to excessive lean for large scoped rifles, in particular for carbines. Excessive lean for long periods of storage may affect the accuracy of free floating barrels.
We have designed the High-Rise ‘Diamond Rack’ to hold your rifle vertically. The high rise rack gives clearance for most large scopes even with high mounts. A rifle held with its barrel vertically balances naturally with a tendency into the rack. The diamond cut is there just to cradle the rifle.
